Enzoani Gives Back: The Live Well Project

Prom Dress Giveaway! Enzoani Sponsors TLWP with Love by Enzoani Gowns

"EDUCATE | EMPOWER | ENLIGHTEN"

On March 21st, 2015, in sunny San Diego, California, the 6th annual The Live Well Project (TLWP) event took place. As a free one-day event open to at-risk girls aged from 11 to 19, TLWP is an incredible and very special opportunity for young women to come together, be inspired, feel empowered, and gain "fresh new approaches to living well." Featuring transformational, goal-setting workshops, activities, performances, a live DJ, prizes, giveaways, and motivational guest speakers, TLWP provided an all-encompassing, wonderful experience. From hands-on classes on meditation and nutritional eating, to zumba, hip-hop, and yoga workouts, to photoshoot and hair and makeup sessions, TLWP was the perfect setting for promoting health, fitness, and self-love to over 300 girls.

Needless to say, our Enzoani team was honored at the opportunity to participate in TLWP, and to be able to gift four deserving girls with Love by Enzoani gowns for a major milestone (and often once-in-a-lifetime) event: Prom! After TLWP's representative and Event Host, Olivia, stopped by Enzoani's corporate headquarters in Southern California, a selection of Love by Enzoani gowns was chosen for the giveaway, and the whole team was thrilled to hear about the winners' wonderful reactions. The opportunity to provide Jaiden, Alexandra, Jennifer, and Diana with exclusive Love gowns for their Prom Night memories is something that the Enzoani team will always treasure and appreciate.

At TLWP, international recording artist and entertainer Donna Glytch was also on hand to help present and give away the Love gowns.

Kyla, a young girl who attended TLWP this year, expressed a beautiful message of gratitude: "The Live Well Project has touched me and really given me a new outlook on life. That day was the first day I've ever been called beautiful by someone not in my family. I learned so much about myself and felt so supported. All you beautiful ladies inspire me to do better. I'm going through a lot and it made my day. Thank you so much. It's nice to see people who do the exact same thing I wanna do, doing it. You guys don't understand how much you impacted me."

The 2015 Live Well Project also featured motivational speeches and words of encouragement from special guest speakers, Dr. Neeta Bhushan (Founder & Executive Director of Independent Awakening), Jessica Minhas (Founder & CEO of I'll Go First), and former NFL athlete and Pittsburgh Steelers player Anthony Trucks. All were in attendance to share painful stories about their past with the girls to inspire resilience and courage in the face of adversity.

As one TLWP volunteer concluded: "The Live Well Project event was incredible! We successfully reached our goal of hosting 300 girls--100 more girls than last year. The Live Well Project started as an idea to help San Diego's most vulnerable youth, and in the last 5 years, it has quickly exploded into a popular community event that empowers at-risk teen girls, engages socially conscious businesses, and leads a new wave of young philanthropists. Our dream is to bring this movement to other cities, and we hope you will join us when that happens! The team and I want to thank everyone for their kind contributions--the event would have been way less awesome without you...The event brought so much joy to each girl in attendance. This is one of the best organizations I have been involved with, and I am proud to be part of it, because everyone that is part of it understands what these girls need to pull themselves out of their feelings of being alone."

Working with Olivia, Melody, Michelle, and other members of The Live Well Project Team, our own Enzoani team felt so moved and inspired, and we cannot wait to hear about the giveaway winners' Prom night experiences. Congratulations to Jaiden, Alexandra, Jennifer, and Diana...and thank you to The Live Well Project for an absolutely wonderful partnership!
