Real Bride

#EnzoaniRealBride: Amy & Dan

A vintage summer wedding in Berkshire

Amy and Dan tied the knot on June 1th 2014, at St Lawrence Church in Berkshire. With the theme being 'Vintage Summer', Amy knew she wanted a dress with a vintage lace design but she was unsure as to which style and shape she wanted.

I’m 6ft 2” with super long legs and not many dresses flattered my figure. I’m really not a fan of wedding dresses in general and was really struggling on what I thought would work for me. I went to a beautiful family boutique called ‘Mrs Jones Bridal Boutique’ where Laura sat down with me to get some idea on what she thought I would like. She picked out about 8 dresses, I then started trying on the gowns and the 2nd one was ‘The One’. I fell in love with it as soon as it touched my skin and there were tears all around. Dakota fitted me like a glove and needed hardly any alterations; I did have the waist jewels hand sewn onto the dress to make it unique to me. I also wanted a long veil which was hand made by the seamstress.

When the day arrived I couldn’t wait to put it back on and share with all my family and friends but most of all my husband to be!! It made me feel so elegant as I walked down the aisle and I didn’t want to take it off. Thank you so much Enzoani for making my fairytail wedding.

The Love Story.....

22/8/10 - He saw her, he wanted her.

26/12/10 - Their first kiss, it was electric!

14/2/11 - He (twice) sent flowers to a Swiss chalet asking her to be his girlfriend, she said yes.

6/4/11 - He gets a job and flies to Seattle for 3 months.

22/5/11 - She flies to Seattle because she misses him.

29/5/11 - She's with him a week and falls in love.

8/7/11 - She picks him up from the airport.

13/9/11 - He sees the light, he falls in love.

23/3/12 - They buy their first home together.

2/6/13 - He pops the question... She says yes.

7/6/14 - The party of the year.

8/6/14 - They live happily ever after...

If I had to choose my most memorable moment I would have to say when we arrived at the barn in our stretched white VW Beetle to the sound of an amazing blues band, blue skies, sun beaming down, we couldn’t have been any happier. Our 140 guests were chilling on the lawn drinking pimms & corona soaking up the sweet music. We stepped out of the car to the sounds of laughter and chatter coming from young children through to great grandparents; this filled our heart with so much love and joy. We felt overwhelmed that all of these people were here to help us celebrate our special day. We’ll never forget that moment and will cherish it forever.
