#EnzoaniRealBride: Cassey & Ben

On February 8th, 2014, Cassey married her college sweetheart, Ben, in an intimate ceremony at the beautiful Chapel at Ana Villa in The Colony, Texas. Surrounded by friends and family, the couple exchanged vows before heading over to the gorgeously lit reception. Cassey looked radiant on the big day, and we spoke to her about her love story, her special moments, and finding her dream dress in Heather from the 2013 Enzoani collection. 

How did you choose your wedding dress, or realize it was "The One?"

Cassey: "The Heather gown was the first wedding dress I had ever put on. The feeling I had when it was on could not be beat by any other beautiful gown at the boutique. I knew it was mine when I refused to take it off, and once I put on my veil, I finally saw myself as a bride and knew this was THE dress."

Tell us about your love story!

Cassey: "Ben and I met in 2007 before our freshman year of college at Texas A&M University through mutual friends inviting me to a house party Ben was throwing. We hung out all night long and continued our friendship from there. After a year of hanging out constantly, going to class together and awkward flirting, he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. Five years later and after many conversations about getting married, Ben proposed on Feb. 7th. And 366 days later, we became husband and wife!

What is your favorite wedding day memory?

Cassey: "My favorite memory from our wedding is immediately after the ceremony, we walked into a private room and just soaked in everything that had just happened. We were finally married and all we could do was hold each other and kiss. Life could not have gotten any better than that moment."

What advice would you offer to other brides?

Cassey: "Don't forget to enjoy the day. It is easy to get all wrapped up in ensuring all of your work was right on your day, but just slow down and enjoy it! Cherish this time with your family and bridesmaids because you want to remember it all. Enjoy being a bride and do your best to soak it all in."
