A "Simple But Perfect" European Summer Wedding

On July 4th, 2014, Ieva married her love, Zbignev, in a traditional Lithuanian ceremony at a church in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Her customizable Enzoani Ivy wedding dress, featuring an inner dress layer with a beaded, embroidered illusion neckline, was the perfect complement to a gorgeous church wedding, which later transitioned to a special reception at the beautiful Karklenai Place. Our Enzoani team spoke with Ieva to hear more about her big day, her gown selection process, and of course, her romance.

How did you choose your dress or realize it was "The One?"

Ieva: "First when I saw the Ivy dress, I had had lots of doubts. It looked very fancy and gorgeous, and I was looking for something modest and simple. Furthermore, I tried lots of different dresses and had chosen another one… But after a few weeks, I had that feeling that every bride has: I was not sure about my decision, I was thinking over and over again about these two dresses. The last week before my wedding, I went to try the Ivy dress again and then I saw how special it was! It was my dress, I loved it from that moment. I changed my mind immediately. In addition, I am very happy now, because I looked fantastic on my wedding day!"

Tell us about your love story!

Ieva: "My husband and I met in Vilnius City, the capital of Lithuania, in the spring of 2013. I was a student in my last year; he lived and worked there, it was his hometown. We spent lots of time together, travelling around Lithuania, having good times with friends, etc. Everything was perfect and we had lots of things in common. After one year of the friendship, we decided to marry. We made everything ourselves, everybody was generous and helpful. We wanted to make our wedding simple, but special. In addition, we both were involved in organizing our big day, and made collective decisions. Our opinions at some points were different, but we always found a solution we both could agree upon. At our wedding there were about 100 people: families, friends, and relatives. It was a two-day celebration, with dances, traditions, jokes, and greetings. Everybody looked happy and relaxed, and time flew by very fast."

What is your favorite wedding day memory?

Ieva: "The most memorable moment was a photoshoot at Bernardinai Park in Vilnius. On the 4th of July, there was a music festival in Lithuania, and the park was full of folklore singers and dancers wearing traditional Lithuanian clothes. Everybody looked at us while we were taking photos, clapped their hands, and wished us the best luck and happiness. We felt very special that day because of those people, and it was the best feeling knowing that others were happy to see us together."
