Industry Interview: Wedding Inspirations Editor

Chatting with Julia Boltt on Her Favorite New Trends

Featuring all the latest bridal news, tips, trends, and inspiration, it's no wonder that Wedding Inspirations Magazine is one of the industry's leading wedding magazines in South Africa. We spoke with Julia Boltt, Wedding Inspirations' editor, to get her expert thoughts and insider opinions on the newest trends, the world of bridal, and what makes Enzoani unique.

Tell us about yourself!

I’m the editor of Wedding Inspirations magazine, so I have the lovely job of selecting the best and most beautiful of the South African wedding industry to showcase in our magazine each issue.

What bridal trends are you expecting for 2016?

I’m excited to see more colour coming through in weddings, and we’ve seen a huge trend towards using metallic almost as another neutral – copper, bronze, silver and gold are all showing up in wedding décor.

What have you seen from Enzoani that have helped keep us fresh and unique?

I think the variety is amazing – no matter what a bride is looking for, she will find something flattering and beautiful that makes her feel like a princess.

Which Enzoani gown is your favourite and why?

I couldn’t possibly choose just one!

How have you seen the bridal industry change over the years?

I think the South African wedding industry is truly world-class, with incredible talent bringing ideas and inspiration that can compete with any on the world stage. It’s become a very sophisticated and well-developed industry.

What is your favourite wedding trend for the season?

Seeing as many great trends as I do, it’s almost impossible to choose just one. I adore illusion necklines – it allows brides to experiment with necklines and have beautiful detailing on their dress without baring too much skin, and I particularly like the trend towards long sleeves, which I think is super-elegant. I’m also excited by the metallic we’re seeing, which is also very elegant and on-trend.
