Retailer Spotlight: Amanté Bridal Wear

Located in Pretoria, South Africa, the charming Amanté Bridal Wear boutique has been a special Enzoani retailer, carrying the latest lovely designs from the Beautiful by Enzoani collection. Amanté offers one of the largest collections of wedding dresses to choose from in the area, as well as bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and stylish, affordable accessories where a bride-to-be can find all the sweet extras she needs.

Our Enzoani team in South Africa spoke with Jackie Oosthuizen, owner of Amanté:

What was your motivation and inspiration to open Amanté?

"My daughter-in-law was the agent for importing a famous brand of wedding gowns. Seeing and experiencing the beauty of these gowns, I decided to retire from my job and start my own business in becoming a retailer in these exquisite wedding gowns.

My aim was to create an environment where the bride's visit to our studio will be an experience she will enjoy, as it is part of a very special time in her life. I wanted to offer professional assistance and advice to brides by experienced, passionate, and friendly salespersons when fitting wedding gowns – especially also for those brides who need extra guidance and care to ensure that she is comfortable and respected."

What has helped to shape Amanté to become what it is today?

A number of things, including:

"Support by my family; Creating an intimate, elegant comfortable studio where the bride and her family/friends can enjoy the dress fitting experience. We started with a very popular, sought-after brand and grew to offer a selection of quality designer wedding gowns at a variety of price points. I also wanted to offer all accessories to create a 'one-stop shop' for the bride. We have excellent support by the importing agent, and passionate, well-informed, friendly and hardworking staff who share the owner's vision and mission. We also provide after-sale service up to the wedding - storing of the gown, alteration services, all accessories being made available in the studio, and ensuring the gown and accessories are in excellent condition and read to wear when the bride collects them."

What are your future plans for Amanté?

"Due to the current economic situation in South Africa and the explosion in the bridal gown industry, Amanté plans to expand to offer a range of more affordable wedding gowns to accommodate brides with a budget lower than R20000.00."
