Styled Shoot: Whimsical Wonderland

For this issue of the Styled Shoot special we spoke with Nailia Yermakova from BEST DAY EVER Events. Together with an international team of wedding professionals she created a special shoot, which will inspire you to think outside the box and create something stunning for your wedding.

The theme of the shoot was ‘whimsical and different’ which was created at a one-of-a-kind location. A great spot for a special styled shoot! With wonderful dresses of Enzoani it was easy to create the perfect look. The models looked amazing!

We spoke with Nailia on her bridal background and inspirations:

How did you get started in the bridal industry? 

I had my own wedding last year. Actually we did it twice: first time we had the ceremony in Ibiza, just us and the kids and second time we had a bohemian/festival wedding in our backyard with friends and family. I loved the process of planning and creating the whole concept for both the weddings. Both weddings turned out really great!

I hired wedding planners as well. It’s not really common to hire a wedding planner in the Netherlands yet, but it’s really great to have someone (professional) on your own BEST DAY EVER to help you around. The whole experience was just fantastic, and that’s why I thought that I should start my own company so I could share everything I know and try to inspire more people to make more unique, one-of-a-kind weddings.

That’s how BEST DAY EVER Events was born.  I organize weddings here in the Netherlands and in Ibiza as well.

Describe your way of working - what makes you different? 

I just started (the website is almost 3 month online), but I already have 8 weddings to plan this year! I have organized a couple styled shoots already. I have my own style and only create bohemian/vintage/festival/rustic weddings. I mean I can help with the planning and the coordination of the classic wedding as well, but I really love to create the whole concept of the wedding. This way I can use all my creativity and together with the couple we will make something unique and personal of their wedding.

I’m good in planning and finding the right match with other vendors. What’s also special is that I almost have all the necessary styling material on stock, which is really interesting for the weddings with a budget.

I speak Russian, English, and Dutch and I know the culture differences which makes me the ideal wedding planner for expats.

My motto is: DARE TO DREAM OF THE PERFECT WEDDING! Dare to be different, dare to be you.

What is your favorite part about putting together a wedding or special event? 

I think that I love the whole process of putting together the wedding. When I meet the couple we just start with some small details and then develop it to the BEST EVER wedding, where everything comes together.

What would be your most challenging wedding to organize and why?

All of my weddings are really special. And I’m really lucky to be a part of them. I think the most challenging one will be the wedding that I have to organize within one month.

The couple is not sure about the dates yet, but they don’t want to wait too long, so it will be a last-minute wedding. But I’m up to the challenge and we are going to make the BEST DAY EVER from their wedding!
