Felicity and James married on March 1st, 2014 at St. Cadocs Parish Church in the United Kingdom with a reception at St. Davids Hotel in Cardiff Bay. The wedding was inflluenced by unique vintage and contemporary chic items. 

James and I met 13 years ago at our first job at the age of 15 in [British Home Stores]. We instantly got on really well.  It was quite obvious from that moment that we shared the same interest of going out ALL the time. We then discovered that we shared the same group of friends.  We would always go out and be typical rebellious teenagers together. Through time we drifted apart for a few years, until later on in our early 20’s we got back in contact and our story began from there....we have been inseparable since.

"I had great difficulty in finding a dress as I really wanted a dramatic and fun fish-tailed dress that said WOW! I had previously been to many bridal shops and had no joy until I went to All About Eve. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease saying that the right dress was there and waiting for me! I spotted the Dakota dress when I walked into the fitted style area where there was a huge selection of fishtail / fitted dresses on offer. But the Dakota dress stood out to me immediately! It was the first dress that I tried on, and I fell in love instantly so much so that the other 2 dresses after could not compare! The dress I originally tried on was in ivory. They asked if I would like to try on my size, but in the black, which was mind-blowingly gorgeous - a true Oscar gown! I felt amazing in it, but I wanted to be traditional. I decided that it would be best for the white, which I am so glad for! 2 days later I brought all my bridal party and family to the wedding dress appointment, and they all were in tears and fell in love with it as much as me!

When I wore the dress on the day, I felt a million dollars. I am not the most confident of people and always look to see the bad in my figure. But as soon as I put it on, I was ready. I felt great and  truly amazing wearing it! it was everything I dreamed of and more, and everyone’s kind words were overwhelming.

The most memorable moment was the at the church, I was really nervous a couple of weeks running up to the wedding . I was convinced that I would not be able to say my vows through being too nervous or getting overly emotional. I remember arriving at the church, and my brother greeted me at the door of my amazing vintage Jaguar and complimented me on how nice I looked. We had a giggle as my dad couldn’t fit in the backseat with me as the dress and all its amazing layers, including the veil, filled the whole backseat, and therefore was no room for him!

As I walked towards the entrance, I remember catching a glimpse of Jamie’s face, where there was a great big smile! All my nerves seemed to disappear, and I couldn’t wait to just walk down the aisle, see him, and say our vows to confirm our marriage.

My dad gave me this great big smile and said “Well Come On Then” and we proceeded. I couldn’t wait at the point for people to finally see the dress I had kept a secret for so long!
