#EnzoaniRealBride: Hannah & Peter

Competition Winner's Traditional Christmas Wedding

In January 2013, UK bridal magazine Wedding Ideas ran a competition for one lucky bride-to-be to win a Blue by Enzoani gown valued up to £1500. The winner of this competition was Hannah Pullen, who went to Enzoani UK Elite stockist Surrey Brides to try on a selection of dresses. Hannah ended up selecting our lovely Blue by Enzoani style, Dabra!

Hannah spoke to us about her dream dress and special day:

"I wore Blue by Enzoani's Dabra on my wedding day because it made me feel like a princess. I know it’s a cliché that when you try the dress on that is meant for you, you just know, and I could not agree more! The minute I put this dress on, it made all the others pale into insignificance in comparison. The gorgeous train was exquisite and the lace was beautiful and very understated. It also had just the right amount of sparkle in the band that I wanted on my wedding day."

"I had the neckline changed into a sweetheart cut and the length taken up, and once the alterations were completed the dress fit me so well. It was also incredibly comfortable on the day, and I could not stop swishing the train around. I had a matching veil made out of the same lace and it looked divine. I am so happy I chose this dress!"

"I was born and raised in Guildford, before moving to study History at Royal Holloway University of London. After I graduated, I studied Law in London and am now a Criminal Solicitor. Peter was also born and raised in Guildford and trained to be an Electrician after he left school.

I met Peter by pure chance back in September 2006! I was due to go to my Bridesmaid Steph’s birthday party in Bristol when my poor old VW Golf broke down on the M4 Motorway. The recovery services took me back to Guildford and I ended up going out to another friend’s birthday party where I was introduced to Peter, and the rest is history. I like to think it was fate that made my car break down that day.

Peter and I knew very soon after we started dating that our relationship was for keeps. I remember him telling me he loved me only a month into our relationship, which might seem soon to some people, but I felt exactly the same."

"After 5 years together we moved into our own flat, and after passing the important test of being able to live together, we knew we wanted to make a life together. Peter proposed to me on Christmas Day 2012 at Guildford Castle. In traditional British weather it was pouring down with rain and I remember being the happiest girl in the world when he got down on one knee in a puddle to propose!"

"Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and therefore planning a Winter Wedding in December was a dream for me. We stuck with traditional Christmas colours--rich greens, golds, and reds--and were blessed with a crisp, cold, sunny day when we wed on December 6th, 2014. We of course had the most beautiful Christmas tree decorated with mine and my mum’s Christmas decorations to make it feel homely. The venue was very intimate, almost like getting married in someone’s home, and was exactly the feel we were looking for. The venue and our caterer could not have been more helpful in making our day perfect and we were so happy with how the day went."

"My favourite wedding day memory was walking down the aisle and seeing Peter for the first time. He looked so incredibly happy, and surprisingly to me was crying. At that point I felt so loved and so happy and it set me off crying tears of joy too!

All my guests commented to me all day that I could not stop smiling, and it was true. It's the happiest I have ever felt and having all my family and friends around me to share in my joy was magical."
