A Springtime Vintage Wedding in Miami

Kristin and Tony tied the knot on March 22, 2014 at The Cocoplum in Miami, Florida. The setting for this wedding was perfect for this time of year as they were surrounded by cascading palm trees and the gleaming spring sunlight. The happy couple looked as if they were completely draped with love and sunshine during the entirety of the event. The décor was kept light and simple with their vintage theme with a modern twist.

Kristin absolutely dazzled in her Olivia-M dress from the Blue by Enzoani collection! She glowed with elegance in this gown with a lace-bodice and full A-line skirt. The beaded band on the natural waist went together perfectly with the chapel length train. She looked nothing short of spectacular walking down the aisle!

"I wanted a vintage wedding. When I first saw this dress, I wasn’t really sure about it, but the lady at the place I bought it at (Merlili in Coral Gables) had me try it on. I was willing to try anything on, the moment I put it on, I knew it was my dress. It came in ivory, but the dress I tried on was a champagne color and I knew I had to get this color. It was ME, It was VINTAGE. I fell in love and so did everyone else."

"I met my husband at a friends house, playing beer pong. Yeah I said it… We actually did engagement pictures playing beer pong, it was so much fun. We later bumped into each other at a lounge and the relationship took off from there. We dated for seven years. For my 30th birthday he took me to my favourite State/City – San Francisco. He took me to a place called Land’s End. I was taking pictures on top of a mountain, over looking the water and the bay bridge. I was taking pictures of our shadows and he was moving around, making cool shadows, so I kept taking pictures, when all of a sudden I noticed his shadow looked like it was on one knee. When I look away from the camera, he was on one knee with the ring. It was very romantic and everything I could have ever dreamed of."

On wedding day memories: "I have so many good memories. One of my favourite was seeing my new husbands face while I walked down the isle. The wedding was so much fun, I can’t just pick one memory."

Advice to other brides: "Enjoy your wedding. Don’t stress on the small things, because there is always something that doesn’t go right. I enjoyed every minute. I ate all my food, I drank, I danced. I had a blast. I would do it all over again if I could."

"When you are sitting with your new husband at the table, take a breath and look around you, take it in, because the night goes by really fast. I did this, and I was amazed that everyone came to our wedding and I was so grateful to be surrounded by so many people I love."
