Q: What is your role at Weddingbells and how long have you been a part of the publication?

A: I am the Editor-in-Chief of Weddingbells and I have been in this position for 11 years with the magazine.

Q: What trends do you hope to see in the 2014 Enzoani collections?

A: I would love to see sleeves, some pretty peplums and some amazing lace—something I know Enzoani does so well. I’d also love to see some big drama and wow factor with some gowns that are unexpected. That could mean the length, silhouette, colour or fabric. Bring on the drama!

Q: What did you love most about a previous Enzoani Fashion Event?

A: Last year was my first time at the Enzoani Fashion Event and everything about it was incredible. The venue, the people and of course the show itself, which was anything but your average runway show. There were so many gowns in the show and the way the presentation was choreographed was beautiful. I can’t wait to see what the creative team has dreamt up for this year!

Q: Do you have a favorite runway moment?

A: There really is nothing like a gorgeous runway show to fashion at it’s finest, particularly bridal gowns. There are glorious, gorgeous and couture creations and they need a grand production to showcase them. I love when the first model arrives and all of the models walk the finale. Those are definitely the biggest ‘aha’ moments of any fashion event.

Q: What is something you hope to see or do at this year’s Enzoani Fashion Event?

A: I love meeting with Enzoani designer KC to get inside his creative mind and discover what inspires him about the collection. I also love connecting with all the wonderful team at Enzoani. Being from Canada, I also love connecting with all the Canadian retailers who travel in for the event.

Q: How have you seen the bridal industry change over the years?

A: The wedding dress has certainly gone through a style evolution in the past few years and I love seeing designers and brides taking risks with less traditional designs. Brides are not afraid to make a fashion statement on their wedding day and that can be through their dress and the accessories they choose. Wedding celebrations themselves have also become quite the incredible events with couples taking their creativity to the limits to create a party that is incredibly unique and highly personal.

Q: Which Enzoani gown is your favorite and why?

A: For drama and glamour I absolutely adore the Modeca Oriel in black. The lace on this dress is exquisite and I love the elegance of the illusion neckline. For a more classic design, I love Enzoani Blue Felda. This dress is simple but beautifully detailed and the silhouette of it is one that is flattering to so many body types. It’s a stunner!
